June has been very busy with lots of weekend trips and with Cassie being sidelined with a horrible asthma condition. I'm uncertain as to whether it's appropriate to take her to the nursery so we've stuck pretty close to home lately. Her nebulizer treatments are a life-saver since without them she's gasping for air. Very sad to watch-but she's also slowly, but surely getting better. Today is another doctor's appointment--hopefully we'll get more steroids to help open up her little lungs.
We have a big roadtrip planned for this Saturday...about 2 weeks of girl-travel with my sister, Cassie and me. We're going to Atlanta, Mississippi and Tennessee. Should be 'interesting' to have Cassie in the car for such long distances...we're planning on being very flexible and relaxed about how much we drive each day and how long we rest in between. The trip is to celebrate my sister's big accomplishment--She's quit her job! It's big news for her to leave her high level position at the White House (this little sister thinks the world of her big sis!), but she finally determined that it wasn't worth all the misery (I TOTALLY agree!). She doesn't have any other job lined up because she's planning to do a total career shift. Hooray!
After we get back from the Southern road trip, I'll be going up to New York to do a week with my ICS teaching buddy, Rachel Reno. I think Cassie will stay home with my sister, my Mom and Tim all taking turns watching her. It's SUCH a long time without my baby--I'm not sure if I should be so "extravagant" but I also long to have the time with my kindred spirit-friend!
Finally, Happy Father's Day to the men in Cassie's life--Uncle Matt, Poppi and Daddy!
